It was a super experience, lots of fun. Best of all we didn’t kill each other, on the contrary, we had a smile on our face each day and we truly enjoyed the tour. While we didn’t know how the 3 of us would get along and had never ever travelled together, let alone to be together 24/7.

We learnt quickly what our fellow rally experts already knew - namely reading the roadbook carefully to consume all info and in particular be aware of the little things offered to make the trip more comfortable. In addition we learnt what is important for each of us and where to compromise, and we found out what we all love ... like sharing food, a G&T, (spaghetti) ice cream, a walk after a few hours driving and most importantly doing adventurous traveling off the beaten path. We developed also some rules, like ‘Never go back’ as if the reverse gear doesn’t exist, it led to nice detours!

We would have never signed up for a rally in Germany if the exciting sounding ones like the Baltic route or the drive through South Europe were canceled. But we learnt a lot about Germany and all the beautiful places there. Since we lived in Germany some time ago, we were also reminded of experiences in the past, mostly during our childhood. So like in many ways – detours in life lead to good things. We ended in 4th place, together with 100 other teams -:) !!

Last but not least - we want to thank you for all your generous donations! This has made this trip so special to us that through your help we could make the lives of many children a little bit better.

We hope that through this blog you enjoyed this trip as much as we did. This is the last chapter for this rally…. We hope that Baltic Sea Circle Rally will take place next June and that you will follow us again.

Take care and stay safe!
